Hi Mary!

No, currently Kevin is not stateside - he's in Iraq at Camp Speicher; we're hoping he'll return to the States in May or June.

Oh Yes!!! He definitely prefers Intell over Corpsman - now, please don't misunderstand, he loved being a Corpsman, and saw duty at Memphis, TN, Camp LeJuene, NC, overseas in support of Bosnia, and then back to Bethesda, MD. He especially loved helping 'his Marines' in Golf Division (Marines) at Camp Lejuene, and competing with them in the Super Squad events. The main reason that he transferred to Intell was for the opportunities for advancement. He loves Intell with his entire being!!

Valerie - thanks for your warm welcome, too!!

And ladies - just 'cause Kevin's all dressed up in his whites - he's just a great, down to earth guy. No brag, just fact.

I've been praying for him Valerie. Probably almost as much as you. Good luck. This one was not as easy as Chris had thought it would be.

Dyon, Cool! A Chief! What a change from Corpsman to Intel. Is he stationed stateside? Has he ever said that he likes the Intel job over the Corpsman job?

Hello Mary,

Kevin has been in the Navy since '92 - first as a Corpsman, until 2001, when he transferred into Intell. He is currently a CPO.

Valerie, have you heard from Wes yet today? I've still not heard back from Chris but I have it marked on my calendar that he has duty today. He may not be able to call back until tomorrow.

Rene, I hope you did not drink to much Starbucks last night. Have you heard if Jared is enjoying his mental break?

Oh my! Welcome Dyon! I'm sure your Kris is wonderful but I'm really glad Kevin is your Intell man. How long has your son been in? It appears from the profile photo that he is an officer? We look forward to getting to know you.

Hello Everyone!!

I received a gracious comment from Ellen - and here I am!! It was a great surprise to find a group just for the Intell folks!! WWAAHHOO!! My son Kevin is our Intell guy - by the way, his brother is named Kris!! LOL, when I read about the confusion among the Chris' and the Amanda's!!
Comment by Mary (Chris' mom) on February 27, 2009 at 7:28pm
Actually I see that the last name begins with W so if it's alright we will go with ChrisW.
Comment by Mary (Chris' mom) on February 27, 2009 at 7:26pm
Oh my Gosh!!! This will be a challenge! Welcome aboard. So your Chris just got to bc? Ladies we are going to have to find a way to designate our newest Chris since we already have a ChrisA. Any suggestions? Amanda, what we have been doing is using the Chris + the mom's first initial so we already have Chris...Anna. We don't want to hurt security using a last name so throw in an idea. Maybe ChrisW for Chris'...wife? Then hope we don't get a Wanda whose son is Chris?

Ann, How much longer does Jessie have to go? I believe you said he is in Imagery? That's one of the longer "C" schools I think. How much time did he have between "A" school and "C" school? I can see where they get burned out in a hurry with such intense training. Tell him to keep his chin up, he will be out of there and on the job soon enough.
