Suzanne,
I am jealous. I wanted to try to do the webcam thing but my laptop is an older model and won't support Skype. boo-hoo.

Ellen,
So glad that your boys are on the mend. Any idea what they all came down with?

Sanity - what is that???!!!

Welcome Ann (love the name!!) It's so nice to meet you. I will definately be saying a prayer for our newest IS, Jessie. I'm mom to one of the Chrises who is in A school. I also have a daughter stationed in Washington - and yes, I agree - us moms can really use a hug every now and then. Fortunately, I will get to see both of my sailors this weekend as our family meets up in VA. I also see you are from GA (sneaked a peek at your page - what a beautiful family). Where is Ringgold? I lived in Augusta for 12 years. Didn't like the extremely hot summers so now I'm freezing off body parts here in Northeast Ohio. Went from the frying pan into the deep freeze how INsane is that!!

Welcome to the group - looking forward to hear from you about you, your family, and especially your sailor - at least as much as you can tell us!!!!

Rene,
CONGRATULATIONS TO JARED!!!!! I am so happy for both of you!!

Dawn,
I will continue to keep ChrisD in my prayers, and you also. We know they are doing what they wanted and worked so hard for. Doesn't mean we miss them any less!

I will be sure to raise my glass of wine (this evening) for all of us IM Moms and our fantastic sailors. Rene, if I have a Starbucks I won't get any sleep tonight and I have some driving to do first thing tomorrow morning!!!! :) Wine helps me sleep anyway!!! Maybe I'll have two glasses for you!! he-he

Valerie, I talked to Chris for a few minutes just a bit ago. They were let out early today because the instructors had a meeting but they still have to muster for PT at 2:30. We mostly talked about his car and his taxes but he did tell me (like I didn't know) that Wes is indeed in their class. I told him what Wes said about his being greeted the other day. Chris said yeah they were looking for him.
My class starts Monday 8:00-2:30, M-F for 4 weeks. If I've not landed another job by then, there are more classes I can take after the completion of this one. I wouldn't be in a rush to find anything if it weren't for insurance. Gotta have that so I'm still looking.

Rene, You go girl!! Can I wait a few hours to start my wine? It's a little earlier in the day than I usually care to start. Congratulations to you and Jared both!!

Dawn you are right, it is difficult but this is what they wanted, they've worked hard to get there and now he's on his way! I've been thinking about you a lot these past couple of days knowing that in a few months I'll be at the same point. Now go finish packing already!

Yippeee horah, Jared!! Keep us posted Rene. Don't worry about it. With the average he has, he will pass. He has accomplished much and he will not let it all be wasted. You done good, Mom.

Dawn, I'm saying prayers for you today as Christopher travels back to Norfolk. I know it has to be hard to say good by again. I'm glad you've had some time with him. I hope you had time out from work to be able to enjoy that time he was home. Good luck to him as he boards the Truman.

Valerie,
I am just so glad that it all worked out for Wes. And I hope he continues to be successful from here on out along with our Chrises!!!
My daughter Jennifer and I head down to Dresden, OH (where Steve lives and works) Friday morning, and then the three of us drive down to VA.
