Greetings Everyone,

Just got back from church and decided to check in and see how everyone is doing. My daughter is in Virginia Beach right now. She might be trying to look up ChrisA right now. I am so looking forward to this visit this weekend - I've already packed my bag!!!
Good to see everyone is doing OK. Barb, my nephew does like it in Bahrain - as far as being on the other side of the world goes. He has been taking lots of college courses while over there and in the two years has almost finished his degree. He is actually supposed to be leaving there in August. He sends us some beautiful pictures now and then.
Tammy, good to hear from you again. Glad TJ didn't have to wait too long to start a class. Hope he got just a little break tho' to wind down from A. You will have to keep all us A school moms educated on what C is going to be like. I'm counting on you!!!!! he-he
Aw Valerie, that was so funny about Wes's greeting. Mary is right - I can just see our two guys doing that!!!

Tammy, is TJ liking "C" school better than "A" school? Does he find it more interesting since it is more specific?

Oh my God Barbara!! LOL! I bet you got a look! No they do kind of tend to want and not bother to try to do for themselves. Chris would have been the same way except that he probably would have gone and turned his underwear inside out and worn them or jusy not have worn any!

I do hope you get to make the trip Rene. If nothing else you and his g/f can talk him into getting off base for a while. I just stayed right there at the Navy Lodge on base. There are cheaper places in the area as well but some of them don't rate very well with customers. I don't know yet if there is a Denny's there. There is an IHOP! Good luck today.

Rene, the very best of luck to Jared. You know, and please make him aware that we are praying for him and the others, and will continue to do so through "C" school and through his drills and deployment. Remind him that this is not the end but only the beginning and now he is a part of the Navy family and we will be there for him and for his family for years.
I believe that's what holds this group together emotionally. The "A" school groups, the bc groups, are eventually gone as the guys and gals move on but we will be a part of the same group for years. It's a growing and learning time for us all.
Have a good day everyone. Good luck and the Lord's wisdom and blessings to all our sailors wherever they are.

Ellen, the boys doing better today?

Valerie, I'm laughing my butt off! I can imagine those two doing that too. They both claim they are the loudest talkers in the class anyway. Oh my Gosh!!! lol Maybe since they know we can keep tabs on them they will help each other and really study. If one gets caught slacking everyone will know about it!! I hope Wes will continue to be happy in the class. Thank you Valerie, you made my day!

Remember Rene,
We are all here to support our troops and each other - so each one of us can better support our sailor You go right on and whine!! We will help support you anyway we can - even if it's just to listen and encourage you - and help calm your fears so you can better encourage your sailor. When does he do his brief? I heard from ChrisA that the briefs and tests are then averaged together for a final score on that unit. So just encourage him to focus on the brief and do well on that and that will bring up his average.

Ellen, the master of strong, kind words. That was good and I hope I can remember it if Chris gets to that point. At some point after your boys are doctored could you explain the frocking stuff again for us ? Pleeease?

{Rene}, Like Anna, I wish I could give you some gems of wisdom but I'm at a loss for words!..From second in his class to eleventh? Wow!! I will say a double prayer for him tonight. Is there such a thing? Oh well I'll start with Jared and end with him.

Rene,
Wow - what a roller coaster you are on. I'm so sorry Jared is having such a tough time. It would seem to me - and this is, again just my belief, the Navy has invested so much in these sailors - and they need ISs so much that they will do eveything possible to help these sailors pass and succeed. Especially ones like Jared that are so close to the end and have been doing well through all the units so far. Unless they just aren't applying themselves and we know Jared does NOT fit that category, I'm sure they will want him to pass and go on. I know from a previous conversation with ChrisA that they get so many failure/setbacks and then they are booted out, but I think that is for those students early on that may realize after a few units that this rate just isn't for them. I wish I had the majic words of encouragement for you to give to Jared but I will certainly keep praying for him and you. Maybe just let him know he has many Moms praying for him and encouraging him to push on!!! Realizing we can't do anything else for them (like give him the answers!!!!). Let us know if there is anything else we can do for you. Keep us posted!!
Anna
