Mary,
OK there should be 9 pictures on my page - let me know if you don't see them.

Mary,
Oh my God!! I think when you weren't looking our Chris's switched and you now have mine!!! He was stationed in Oceana previously and called me one time to tell me he got a Excaliber sword!!!! He hung it on the wall of his apartment. I'm not sure how the barracks would take to your Chris having that as it is considered a weapon. I just find it so humorous that these two boys have more than just their name the same!!!!
I put the pics on my page - I'm going to log out and then log back in and see if they get on there then.

Mary,
Oh Please do that - "Hey I've seen him before!" That will drive my Chris nuts - not that he doesn't have that far to go!!! And also tell your Chris not to even worry about Catherine because he does not want to know how my two older boys treat their sister's boyfriends. Those two girls will be single for a LLLLOOOONNNNGGG time!!!

Mary,
The Navy won't start a Top Secret clearance until they know the sailor has passed A school and therefore will be in need of the next higher level. They don't do clearances on every sailor only those that need it for the job they have. Chris already has a secret so he's hoping it won't take as long to just go the next level.
After all the comments made about pictures on our pages, I felt guilty because I didn't have other pictures of Catherine on my page, and none of Chris. So I've added some pics - the ones of Chris are from when he was an AO. I don't have any "new" Navy pics of him yet. I'm getting there!!!!

Ladies,
I so enjoy reading all your comments. Thank you for the compliments for my daughter. My little logo picture, by the way is of Catherine just after graduation, and her twin sister, Jennifer. Jenn was thinking of going to the Naval Academy at one time but decided she really didn't want the military life so she is attending University of Akron Honors College studying Chemistry. I'm anxious to talk to Chris this weekend and find out how his first week of school went. I'll have to ask him if he knows your Chris, Mary. Was he from NC also? I know my Chris is supposed to go to C school after he finishes A school. He said there may be a hold between A and C while the Navy does the top secret clearance on all the students. They won't start the process until they know A school was passed, and they can't start C school until the clearance comes through. Don't know if any of you moms heard about that or not.

Yes there are. I also know that there are a few more on the base there that are not in IS.

Ooops, sorry Dawn said her's did not live up to potential when in school.
Comment by Mary (Chris' mom) on January 30, 2009 at 4:04pm
Rene, that's great!! So he will get the "C" school training! I hope Chris is studying as hard. Chris was much like Jared that he did not live up to his potential in school but even so was not as smart or talented as Jared seems to be. I think Chris is going to find this to be an "awakening" for him as well.
Best of luck to Jared and Wes both. Job well done!

Rene - nothing wrong at all with being braggy!!! We all want to do that!! PS is Personnel Specialist. She works with the personnel records of officers and enlisted for quite a number of units in the NW corner of the US.
