For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi, My son is trying to get into OCS, if successful, he wont go until Oct 2010. Does anyone know why he has to wait so long?

Dear OkSuzy,
Our daughter graduated from college a year and a half ago and discovered the nupoc program earlier this year....and we just put her on a plane to Newport, R.I. this past weekend for OCS. We got a phone call from her yesterday evening, letting us know she arrived at the base - but that was 2 1/2 days after she checked in!! The connection was very fuzzy and we could hardly hear anything....but discovered she was the only girl in the entire class!! That was a little disconcerting, but we are trusting that she can handle any inconveniences that come with the territory. She had worked very hard at physical fitness and, being a newbie myself, that is the only advice I can give you right now - at least she went with the knowledge that she was in top physical condition and so I would recommend that your son log onto the website where it lists the level that will be expected of him and start working out now to be in the top category. It will be that much less he has to be nervous about those first few days.
The other thing is to expect him to be nervous - even scared - when he first arrives. From what I'm hearing, that is nothing to worry about as a parent - they all feel pretty petrified at first. I look forward to one month from now when I will hopefully hear from my daughter and know she has settled in and is doing well. In the mean time, my well wishes and thoughts of support to you and your son.

Welcome! If you are completely new to the Navy, you may want to check out this online class the Navy just released.
http://learning.zeiders.refineddata.com/course/view.php?id=4502 It is called New Spouse Orientation, but there is a lot of information there of interest to all family members, especially the glossary (you can learn Navy-speak!) No registration is necessary and you can log into it at any time.
