Hi! There are a lot of us on FB groups with LOs (loved ones) in Class 03-11, 04-11, and 05-11 trying to find the FB group for 06-11. We offer support, encouragement, and guidance. Unfortunately, we can't find the FB group for 06-11. Has anyone started a group?
There is a FB group for the candidates, but I have not found one for family members. I have had little response here or with other forums for family members. We already miss our son and anxiously await his finally call tomorrow morning before he reports. He has been in touch with classmates and is meeting several of them tonight for dinner at the Red Parrot (?). Thanks for offering your support. I am not a big facebook participant, but maybe I will start a group.
Actually, a member from 04-11 started a FB group for 06-11. Search under "OCS Class 06-11" on FB. You'll find that a lot of the members are not necessarily FB savvy, but they joined to share the journey with others going through the same thing. It's also a great tool to learn about graduation, Hi Moms Dinner/Dance, PIR, Christmas break (stand down), etc...It's also a great way to ask questions and keep up to date with your class. You might also want to join the 04-11 and 05-11 and read some of the past discussions. There's a lot of valuable info on the groups.
Actually I just found it and joined. Seems to be some glitches in it, but they are working on it. Thanks for the invite to 04 and 05. I will look into it. We are anxious to get some as much info as possible.
Hi, I think this is the right group. My son reported today, but we were not sure of his class number. Best of luck to all. Will check back often and hope to meet in person at the Hi Moms event.
Yes, you are in the right place. J reported 0900 today. He is 23, '09 JMU graduate with BS in Medical Science and EMT certified. NFS at OCS. Just got engaged 2 weeks ago. I have been his Step-mom a little over a year ago, but love him like my own. Did not think I would get emotional, but teared up when speaking to him on the phone this morning. We are in Richmond, Va. How about you?

There is also a FB group. Few more LO there.

Check them out and lets share the journey!
We are in Staten Island, NY. My son J is 22. Graduated with BS in Physics. Signed up for NUPOC. Very emotional times. Can't imagine getting engaged just before! Congrats and best of luck.

Never really have been a fan of FB, but joined the group you mention to share the journey. Hungry for info just like everyone else. I hear no news is good news (NNGN) for the first few weeks, so hope this is what happens. Looking forward to future chats.
