My son graduated medical school 20 May 2011, then headed off to ODS in RI 22 May 2011. Any others out there in this Class scheduled to graduate 24 June 2011?

Yes, we dropped our daughter off on Sunday.  She's an ER nurse.  She graduated a couple of years ago and has been practicing out of state since.  She was home for a few weeks before ODS.  That was nice.  She'll be stationed out in CA once she finishes this.
How wonderful for you! Is she going to San Diego, then? My son and his wife head off to Pensacola after graduation for the next 3 yrs. at the Naval Hospital doing his Family Residency. We were thinking about purchasing him a ceremonial sword for graduation...any thoughts?
That would be an amazing gift.  Tell him not to show it to his patients.  They may get a little nervous.  We got a call from our daughter this weekend.  We were so happy to hear from her.  Did your son call you?  I know they only had a certain amount of time to talk.  She wanted to use some of it for her boyfriend. She said they had Sunday and Monday off, but no rest.  Breakfast was still at 6 AM.  They were going to study and practice their marching. She'll be home for 1 night with us.  Her flight is early Sat for SD,  You must be so proud of your son.  That is quite an accomplishment for him.

Oh, yes, he did get to call, after he spoke to his wife, of course! He told me the same things =)

It's wonderful your daughter was be able to come home! I think we are equally as proud of our children. Congrats to you, and I look forward to meeting you 24 June...=)

What's your son's 1st name?  I'll ask Mandy if she's met him yet.
His name is Kevin. I will also ask him if he knows Mandy...
Well, I guess I don't have to ask him...he just added her to his facebook friends!

Mandy called Sat and talked for an hour.  She's so excited, but absolutely exhausted.  I'll have to check out her facebook.
