Hi all

Haven't been on in awhile, thank you for creating a forum with items to send our sailors. We were in San Diego when the USS Boxer, Comstock and Greenbay were deployed last week. What an amazing feeling to watch them go by in the harbor. We were also able to tour the Boxer and actually see where they sleep, eat, get their mail etc. This all was overwhelming as a parent, so very proud of all our service men and women who serve our country. Our son is now a Petty Officer ( E4) and plans on taking the E5 exam during deployment.

Is there somewhere specific we should purchase International Calling cards? I hadn't thought of that, thank you.

I really enjoy reading all of your posts too, such great ideas!!

How long was your son there?  Did he get a leave before he had to ship out?  I found out today that Austin is a Grad and Go, so we won't get to see him for very long.  It breaks all our hearts. At least we will get to see him some :)

My son Austin, is going to be an AZ.  He said that when he tells people in boot camp what he is going to do, they look rather puzzled.  I wonder when A school starts for him.  Hopefully, we will have some quality time with him after PIR.
