He likes it a lot!He is already friends wlth his roommate, they both are very responsable with their room,my son likes that. The other AZs that are his superiors are very nice to him, friendly;one of them already invited him to his house for a barbecue...they all had a nice time.He is planning to buy a car because is far from where he lives to the hangar he works,he is working from 3 pm to 3am,maybe more or less,sometimes...he likes it anyways,no matter what,I'm happy for him, even thought I miss him always.

Alyse it was great to meet you as well. I still can't believe how much our sons are alike, down to the colleges they attended. He had his first liberty and went to town with a "buddy", bought a new computer and sounds like he's settling in at Meridian, thankfully. I'll add the tampa bay group too, thank you so much for all the info and what I can anticipate for the coming months.

Mimi, Peggy, Mother and all the supportive N4Ms, thank you again for the information. I finally was able to get the whole story instead of pieces, there were approx 25 sailors called out on having cell phones on their person even if they weren't on. They had taken their names, and then met with them yesterday. They all received a warning only thankfully, but were told there are to be no cell phones and their bc rules continue to apply, they can use their phones when off duty and in their rooms!! I'm thankful they all didn't receive captains mast?? as it could be held against them their entire Navy career. Mimi I gave my son the message for Wendy too, he has met her and I encouraged him to get involved so he doesn't have down time and the days will go quicker. Mother enjoy your time with your sailor too!!!

Thank you again so much!!!

Thank you for your nice words!
denbarb76,I know that whenever my son called me,he was cleaning his boots, till they shine,he learned to "burn"them,to make them shine;don't know how is that...He got a prepaid cel phone there, but he kept it,or at least use it when he was in his bedroom or not in duty.
I know that they started the day before the others at school.
Have a nice day all!!
(I'll be at the airport VERY early!!)
