Thank you for receiving me,I stoped posting because my son wasn't in A school yet and I was posting here already;now that he finished his AZ studies I feel I'm alowed to be here.
In PR the winter time was hotter than other years, the lower temperatures were 59,66,70,the lower temps were in the mountains.
I am very happy for my son,he did well, his "gap" if I may say,was the language,I know he understands it;but is not the same when everything is in english...When I hear him talking to his roommates now,he speaks well,he has been helping other students there. He wasn't afraid of the language and that's very important when you want to learn.
Have a nice day all!!
Oh!! I miss him so much!!!!!

Alyse and Mimi thank you for the information, I have really received an education in the last 4 weeks on N4Ms:) Everyone is so supportive. I know my son would love to be stationed in San Diego but I'm sure its one of the most requested. Does anyone know what the top requests are by recruits?
Mimi NC Smoky Mountains, is where my rocking chair will be in my all to soon golden years:) We've vacationed there with our kids through the years, peaceful and beautiful in the fall. Alyse we def should meet for coffee I'll PM you in regards to that. Have a great week ladies, don't drink to much green b--r:)

Alyse

I just read your post and thought I'd answer it here to keep it on the "main" page:) We are neighbors, I live in Tarpon Springs!!! We lived in Palm Harbor and moved a few miles north to be on land in 2003. All of my 5 children went to ELHS with the youngest still there, graduating in 2011. Everyone told my son even the recruiter that the real navy begins after A school. He's been real positive except for the first 2 weeks which were tough on all the recruits. My son also is pretty laid back having to rival with his siblings who are all close in age:).This world is getting smaller, I'm so happy I found the AZ group on N4Ms as all the information from everyone's posting is so helpful. I know my son would love to be stationed in California as his oldest brother lives there but he wants to travel too. I see on your post below your son was able to visit multiple ports. Is it their stationed at say San Diego yet they go on ship duty as well. Or do they have to choose to be on a ship in order to travel? I'm not sure my son ever got that clarified by his recruiter.
