Kari,

I am sending you an email with my info. I would like to join Big Sky Blue Star Mothers. Since my son has only been in less than a year and has 5 to go I thought I'd better get involved! And I'll look on FB. I live in Helena.

Thanks!

Gaileann - my Dad is a retired Chief and my uncle is a retired Senior Chief,  so my Son has been told from day one ( and he firmly believes!) Chiefs are who truely run the Navy -  now his grandpa is telling him he'll do fine as an officer as long as he treats the Chiefs with respect.    Congrats on your Son making Chief in under 8 yrs!

Gaileann, Aaron is in the Nuke pipeline - he is currently in the last phase of that training, he will not finish it up though, they just pulled his training watches and such.   He will go to OSU for 3 yrs and then back through the nuke pipeline but on the officer side this time.  He just past his 2 yr annv. of being in the  Navy.'

Kim - we had checked out OSU a couple of times before Aaron decided to go into the Navy ( mainly because of the cost of school) so we are excited that he finally gets to go there and also get the degree he wanted!  we really liked the area - I'm looking forward to visiting it more :)

Thank you all for the congrats!

I'm enjoying talking to my sailor as much as possible, knowing that when he finally gets to sea ( about another 5 yrs from now! ) it will be a rarity.  Aaron got his orders last week.... he is being "ordered" to college! :) he made the sta-21 enlisted to officer program! He will be going to Oregon State Unv. starting this summer!  will enjoy having him closer to home!

Hi Montana Moms!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Kelly*gjm* and my son both just left on the Enterprise last Thursday for their 6+ month deployment.

God Bless our Sailors!

Hi Gaileann-

My son is on the USS Enterprise...no sub for him! I was trying to remember my best friends sons' sub and I think it is the Michigan? He is out of Washington somewhere, too! Obviously your son likes what he does! Mine has only been in since April of 2010.
