Well Willette, I'll just have to add Swing Vote to my Netflix list just because Kevin Costner is in it. And the only version of or movie about Wyatt Earp I'll watch again is the one with Costner.

I'm not a Elvis fan but I've checked out a few movies from Netflix. So far, I've seen Roustabout, Flaming Star, and recently Blue Hawaii. I've enjoyed Roustabout and Blue Hawaii. Never realized Elvis did Westerns (F.S.). Hubby likes the Westerns especially if Robert Duval is acting in them. He also likes Tom Selleck and not his most favorite, Sam Elliott. I enjoyed some of the western movies with Tom Selleck and Kevin Costner. Tom Selleck does make a pretty good cowboy!

Thanks for all the foreign flick reviews. I may actually go and rent one since you have given such good recommendations.

HI Undercover Mother, your profile pic reminded me of the filming of Roger Rabbit. I only had the opportunity to see a small part of the making of the movie. It was filmed in downtown Los Angeles just around the corner where I used to work many years ago. Of course I’ve seen the movie since then. I finally own a copy on VHS after all these years but would like to find the movie on DVD.

I just purchased a poster of a black & white photograph of actors/actresses from the 30’s and 40’s or earlier. Cannot remember the exact title of it but it’s called the MGM Silver Anniversary Dinner. I have a friend who loves all the movie classics and most especially musicals. She has an 8x10 size of the one I picked up but she cannot see the faces on the people very well. Over the years my friend has come across this picture at different times in the size she was hoping to find it in but could not afford to buy it at the time. There is also a copy of this picture in a framed giant poster size on the wall of one of our favorite seafood restaurants in the local area. The restaurant would not sell my friend their copy. My friend is going to be very tickled and delighted that I have found this for her. I’m beside myself and cannot wait until Christmas this year to give it to her so I’m going to surprise her with it soon. She has collected photos of her favorite actors in specific scenes from movies she has enjoyed. They are all framed and hanging in her home office. Now, she has run out of room in her office but there may be a place for it in her bedroom. It’s a pretty good size and a custom frame will have to be made for it. Fred Astaire, Judy Garland, and Kathryn Hepburn to name a few are in the photograph. I’m not sure if any of you are familiar with this photograph or if you know anybody who may.

Willette, I just watched Ghost Town. Cute romantic comedy
I love Netflix!! I've been a member for over a year now. Just a few steps to my mailbox instead of having to drive to and from the video store. I think it is so much more reasonable for movies per week thru Netflix than it was going to Hollywood Video.

Nik--The Last King of Scotland is totally unbelievable! Forrest Whitaker is the best actor in this movie--he plays the part perfectly. It is scary to know that part of what was shown in the movie is part of what could be happening yet today.

Good for you, Anita. Should be fun.

Isn't that with Kevin Bacon?

Have fun, Willette. Hope the girls had fun.
Gene Kelly, fun to watch. Sometimes I think when they bring back the Westerns or Musicals, they are not all as good. However, I did buy and watch Mama Mia tonight. I do like those songs.
The high school where my husband teaches is doing Sound of Music this spring.
