A mother and her 3 daughters are kicked out of their mansion in England when the father dies. The brother, who is now in charge, has a snot for a wife, who wants it all for her spoiled son. They move into a little cottage. Then you follow them as they fall in love. The older sister, who is the most practical, with the sister in law's brother (a nice guy), and the other sister, who picks a cad who uses her. An older gentleman (she is 17) saves her. I know that it sounds chopped up. It ends happily ever after. The sister in law falls short when her brother gets the girl he wants in the end.
I had never watched Jane Austin before, but I enjoyed them last fall. Did you ever watch Pride and Prejudice?

I was watching Sense and Sensibilty Sunday night on the PBS station. It's a two parter. Hope I remember to watch it again Sunday. I watched the Jane Austin series last fall, so this is a repeat. I liked most of them.

Ok, thanks. Have a good night, Willette. Will wait to hear your review.

What's it about? I don't remember hearing much about it. But, then again, I don't always pay attention.

I couldn't have done it either.

Hey, did anyone ever watch Calendar Girls? That one puts a smile on my face, even though it had some sad parts. The TV show was called Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, wasn't it?

I'm impressed with your observations, Mimi. Good job.

Interesting observations, Jessica. I'll try to watch for that also, if we get to see it. Our weekends book up so fast. Always love to have the popcorn.

My niece thinks that Slumdogs is the best. She saw it a few times already. She has friends from India, and they all watched it together. She also had the opportunity to go to India in January, so I think that made a lot of the movie real to her.

So, did anyone go see New In Town? Just want to know how it is.
I can't imagine, Willette, having so much time off from snow. I've lived in WI MN and MI for most of my life, and can't remember more that 2 days off at a time. Even when we lived in KS and CO, the most was 2 days at a time.
