Anyone a fan of the Star Wars movies? #6 is on tonight. The first one was also the movie I went to see more that one time in the theater. I was going into my senior year of college. Wow, does that age me?

The media here in Minnesota has been hyping Gran Torino, because the young Hmong actor is in high school here in the Twin Cities and the writer is from MN also.

Sorry, pushed the wrong key. Next is The Queen with Helen Mirren.
Did anyone see Calendar Girls (2009)? I went to see it with friends. It had some sad parts, but we had some great laughs.

RE: Home Alone
When our sailor was about 3 or 4, we moved to an apartment waiting for a house to open up to move in to it. Well, we took our sailor to see Home Alone. He liked some of the stairs stuff that happened in the movie. We get back to the 2 story townhouse, he crawls into the laundry basket and takes a surprise ride down the stairs. He hits the landing--at which time his freaked out mom is screaming "are you ok, are you ok?!" He was scared poopless so to say and just sat there knocked out of the laundry basket and was afraid to talk.
Now we laugh about it. And yes, he was ok.

We just returned from seeing Gran Torino. It was a GREAT movie with a GREAT message. But....if you can't handle language don't go.

I'm glad someone else had a bit of trouble watching Wizard of Oz when they were younger. I always had to walk out of the room when the monkeys came to get Dorothy. Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe was on ABC family during Christmas. I thought it was good. We had seen that one in the Theater. We missed Prince Caspian out this summer. Can't wait to see that one on DVD.
