I went to see The Help and loved it.  I can't wait to read the book, which my book club is doing in Oct.

Welcome to our new members.  I've just gotten back from a whole week's vacation!  Will take me a while to catch up.

Have not seen the trailer for "The Help" but it is a fantastic book.  Also waiting for the first Stephanie Plum PI book to come out as the movie.

Yeah, The Getaway.  That was it.  It was violent.

Too bad about the Tom Hanks one.  I was looking for a light comedy to see with my husband.

Did anyone see the trailer of  "The Help" coming out in August?  I think its about a girl writing from the houseworkers point of view.

Anyway, my sister and I try to go to see something light and humorous in August.

'The Getaway,' great movie but very violent, Peckinpah I think?

In re your original question, the Tom Hanks movie has had some dismal reviews, unfortunately.

Understandable.  Didn't he and Ali McGraw star in a movie together?  I can't think of the title right now, buy I did go see it wayy long ago.

Ah, I wasn't thinking either!  Then again, my first 'crush' was on Steve McQueen, so you can understand where my mind went LOL

I'm so sorry.  I meant the one with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts  -  "Larry Crowne".

Things are chaotic here, because my grandchildren have come to visit.  :)

Carol, do you mean "The Thomas Crown Affair" with Steve McQueen?  (or the remake - not as good - with Pierce Brosnan?)
