For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by ReneeBC on December 18, 2013 at 9:26pm: ibmom, He's in the 1st "Screaming Eagles" squadron. :) It was his second choice, but he seems to be hitting it off with the others in the squadron. He's living off base and REALLY likes that. He likes compartmentalizing his life; PO3 on base vs D. off base.

What is new in I`s world? Will you be together for the holiday?

My son has moved on to Whidbey, but I wanted to remain as useful as possible to those arriving at JAX. I hope everyone has a plan for contact during the holidays whether it be in person, by phone, skpe, etc. Enjoy your sailors/airmen anyway you can!

Comment by Donna on November 3, 2013 at 10:02am: Good morning group! I heard from my sailor this morning :). He wanted me to ask all of you if your sailor or someone they know can work on cars? He has a Mazda 3 and is having problems with the clutch or something. He hates to just try random things and spend more money than he needs to. Please let me know if you have any information I can pass on to him. Have a great day!
