Well that's so great that they got a house already!! So they'll be in the lodge when she has the baby I take it. That has to be a little stressful! Please do give them my info - If they need anything for the baby I'd be happy to loan them some things!

Hey doodle, Well I guess the kids won't be moving this weekend. They got that house they put a bid in on and the agaent said that they could close in 30 days so I guess they are going to stay in the navy Lodge for the next 30 days. They said it would be easier where she is due on the 19th. Plus they will only have to move once. Can't wait to come up and see the new baby and house but they still would like your info so I will give it to them if thats stilll Ok. have a great day. Karen

Doodle, No I don't know what housing I do know that its on the base. They are just thrilled to get out of the Navy Lodge. Plus the dog doesn't like the maid and tried to nip her the other day. I will let her know about the baby things. How old is yours? They also put an offer in on a forclosure in leonardtown but it will be a few days til they hear anything on that and then another 60 days or so before they can close so they will be in housing for awhile. can you email me with your info si I can forward it to Mikel Lauren and Steve. pandr_99@yahoo.com Thanks karen

It never seems to get any easier. They have been in Gaeta Italy for the last 3 years so it is good to have them stateside again. Steven has been in for 15 1/2 and was just promoted to Chief last Sept. We flew over to Italy and I got to pin his anchors on him along with his wife. I know that being in a new area takes alot of adjusting and I am sure they will be fine but I will let them know about your offer. It means alot to me. Karen

Karen - No problem! I can message you my e-mail if you want to put her in touch with me, I know how stressful it is!! With housing you really have to stay on top of them to get anything accomplished, I've found.
My husband has been in 13 years now! We just moved here in November so we're still adjusting- we were in California before this.

Hey doodle, Thanks for the message I will let them know what you said when I talk with them tonight. With her being due in 3 weeks her stress level is very high anyways. They have been looking at homes to buy for the last few days but don't know if they found anything there either. I just wish they could find something before this baby comes but I think that is just wishful thinking on my part. She did say something about places being under construction so that must have been the place you are talking about. I guess it comes with being in the Navy and the hurry up and wait thing. I am sure they will be fine but I just wish that it was all behind them or that the baby wasn't due so soon. Whats a grandmother to do? LOL Can't wait to take that drive up there and hold my new grand daughter. Thanks again for writing and I will let them know that you offered your help. Hpw long has your husband been in? Karen
