Karen, be sure to check out all those little recreation areas on the main base there at Pax.  Each is it's own little treasure.  Enjoy your trip!!!

Good afternoon, I just got back from visiting my sailor at Pax.  What a wonderful area, it is a BEAUTIFUL base.  The base has SO much there for you to do; when the weather is nice.  But the base is not friendly to those without a vehicle!  Everything is very far apart.  We really enjoyed our visit, spent 2 days visiting the DC area & even took a day trip down to Norfolk & Virgina Beach.

Morning everyone. Well just back from a long weekend visiting the son and family in Pax River. Weather was wonderful and we all had a great time with the grandbaby and her Christening. Home safe after the 14 hour drive.

My son is on base, the group he hangs out with is a pretty good group, they all live near each other in the barracks.

Karen, like you said they did get some snow, but you're right; nothing like we are used to. The Feb. 1 & 2 storm brought us about 16 inches of snow.  He was very jealous!  Yes, he does live on base.  He is supposed to be an AD in VX1; but has been working in the line shack since about 2 wks after he arrived.

J & K, just the other day our son called home & spoke to his dad about some trees there on base & when he was done he said yes those would be Cherry Blossoms.  I have a co-worker that was also stationed at Pax & she said the same thing about the allergies.  I have forwarned him about it.  We will see how he does.  The is only one in the family that doesn't see to have them.  Beautiful pics of your daughter & the puppy!   ADORABLE!!!  :)

Annie-Welcome.  We look forward to getting to know you also.  :)
