He is loving it now, but he really missed not having snow this winter.  We are from WI & it just seemed like every storm would JUST miss him.  He is enjoying the early spring right now!

Can anyone tell me if there are cherry blossoms there at Pax River?  Or will my son have to go to DC to see them?

My son arrived at Pax River on 12-3.  He got his vehicle delivered to him this past weekend!  I just have to say thanks again to anyone that was very willing to drive him where he needed to go!  Especially Kursten! Thanks again.  In his first couple of weeks there was even a very nice Air Force couple that stopped & gave him a ride.  As usual military always seems to take care of military!

Kalynn Enjoy traveling while you can.The kids really loved Rota Spain and gaeta Italy and would go back in a minute if they could so if you have the chance see as much of the world as you can. You can always come back to Fl. when he gets out. Steven just thought it would be nice to be closer to me with the new baby but Pax is stillcloser then Italy.

Yeah, we're pretty sure we'll end up regretting it, but you know we gotta live life and why not now, while it's on the Navy's dime.  My husband is an AE (Aviation Electrician), he's putting in his request for orders in January for the FRC command on PAX.  I've been gathering info from some of the wives and supposedly of the 3 commands that have openings FRC is the best.  So we'll keep our fingers crossed until then.  Currently his rotation date is September 2nd.

Ya know Katlynn whats funny is that Steven would have given anything to  have pulled a duty here in Florida. Who knows maybe next time. What does your husband do?

Kalynn I am sure that maybe your parents can take a trip up there to visit you. Its an easy drive right up 95 and I am sure you will make new friends there on base. The hard part is when you are stationed overseas and you can't just hop in a car and make the road trip. Happy Holiday to you and your family. Safe travels
