Yes Ma'am, we are stationed and live on NAS Jacksonville, and was born and raised in Auburndale, FL (between Tampa and Orlando, near Winter Haven and Lakeland). We are definately looking forward to getting to see more than FL but the hardest part will be moving farther away from family! We're used to visiting at the very least once a month.
Kalynn, Steven for the most part only gets home once a year. This year has been alittle different because he had time off in Feb when they got back from his tour in Italy, then he made a quick visit in July and we drove up to Pax in May to meet our new grand daughter so I was lucky this year seeing him 4 times plus the first of NOvember my daughter in law and the baby flew down for a few days so I could visit with the baby. She was born on Stevens 34th birthday on April 19th. Are you in Jacksonville?
Karen, How often does Steven and his family usually visit you? by car or plane? We may be PCSing there in September from NAS JAX and my family is currently 3 hours away but will be 14 hours from PAX. I just don't know how we will ever get to visit them with the 2 of us, a baby and pets.
Mary then she will be kinda close to you being in Pax River. We are from Florida. Takes about 14 hours to drive there. Steven will be home on the 29th until the 2nd. along with my other 2 boys and their family. I have 9 comming in next week(3 grandbabies) It will be totally crazy and I will enjoy every minute of it. Its been a few years since all the boys have been together at home. I am glad your daughter is comming home. enjoy it. Steven has been in for 16 years nows and I still look forward to all the visits home.
Mary, That may be a good thing. My kids said that it is windy cold and snowy in Pax River right now. Where are you from? Happy Hoildays Karen
Mary welcome to the group. My son and daughter in law are also at Pax River. Its a small town but the area is really nice. My son has been there since March and loves it. The base is large and very nice. I am sure she will be happy there. What does she do?
Kursten, Same to you and your family. I think that it in base not 100% sure.
