A special message to Linda and all those involved with the 1st Navy Mom Cookbook...

What a tremendous undertaking this project has been. I was delighted to wrap the 1st edition Navy Mom cookbooks for Christmas gifts for some of my family that also have Sailors.

This project would never have taken place with out the time, effort and planning of Linda and those that helped her coordinate the recipes as well as her family that took time to prepare the address labels and their many trips to the post office so we could enjoy these books for the holidays!

A huge THANK YOU goes to Linda and all involved. Thru your generosity and efforts, Molly Adopt A Sailor project has received a $2000 donation from the cookbooks proceeds!!! We are honored and delighted that this grass root effort snowballed into such a wonderful keepsake and in the process has generated funds that we will be able to use for our Adopt a Sailor projects in the months ahead.

We will be posting on a monthly basis in this group, exactly how the funds will be used for our Sailors. Again, to all of our Navy moms involved with this mission - Thank You!!!

Thank you Mary for you kind words. There will be more money sent to adopt a sailor when I finish selling the rest of the books. If anyone needs or knows anyone that would like a cookbook please let them know to contact me. Thank you to all of you that help me out on this and I know this cookbook will be a treasure in the future as will the next one. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas.

Hugs,
Linda
Linda

Wow--what a great start for our 2009 Adopt a Sailor program! Thanks for your hard work, for all the time you spent with us, and for this snowball you started! We are blessed, aren't we?
Cookbook members - we are be allocating part of your donation to a group of IAs that are currently deployed in Afganistan. Please think about stopping by the Molly Adopt A Sailor if you would like to join us in supporting those Sailors.

As soon as the January funds are allocated - we will post an update here so you can see how your efforts have helped these sailors. Thank you!
I wanted to say Thank you so very much for choosing to donate to adopt a sailor ----- We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And we will keep you informed on where all your donation went to.
This little slice of Navy Mom heaven is amazing we are the greatest TEAM ever. There really is nothing a navy mom cant do !!
God Bless each and everyone of you ------
May this new year bring all our troops home !!
Linda, I want to add my thanks for the generous donation to Molly's Adopt a Sailor. Please know how much your HARD work is appreciated. We all make an awesome team, don't we?? Pat
Linda, as the January Adopt A Sailor Mom, I invite you and all moms who purchased the cookbook-and therefore contributed-to come check out all the excitement generated, even before this announcement, and certainly after! The link is just too long to post here. Would love for you to share any opinion you may have there on how to use this months' allotment. THANK YOU again for all your hard work, (I love and treasure my cookbook!) and for your generous heart. =) I knew you had said you maybe wanted to do something to partner with the Molly's Adopt Sailor Group, but never imagined it would be such a large success and contribution!!! I've no doubt you will be sold out of the rest of those books soon. Glad to be part of this GREAT N4Ms team with you! ((HUGS)) :-)
Hello all I just wanted to let you know that $ 230.00 was spent on our January sailors we sent them 62 DVD's and the shipping was only $7.83
None of that could have been done without you :)
I told them that In the letter that accompanied the DVD's----If I happen to recieve a letter back from them I will post it here also. BUT dont hold your breath / these sailors are busy and do not always get a chance to say Thank you. I know in the bottom of my heart they would if they could :)
Again this couldnt happen without your wonderful donation :)
See ya next month
Lovingly ~~~
your partner in adopting sailors Molly
Hello again -------- I know this is late BUT this is what we did for our February group
297.00 was spent on the February group. We sent 80 DVD's !!
None of this could have been done without you Moms ---our silent partners, you have no idea just how much your gift is giving to these sailors. I wish I could let you know just how wonderful you are for donating to this project ---- its a real good project and you should be so proud.
Our february sailors were 105 in Iraq.
The month of March we have 45 in Kuwait :)
Love to all you perfect Mommies !!
Hoping your sailors are all doing good !!
Many Hugs
Molly
For our April group we again sent DVD's this seems to be the easiest thing to get to them in bulk and also what they want !! So again DVD's this time it was seperated into 3 groups in Africa !! We spent 265.85 on DVD's and shipping that was a total of 94 DVD's.
(the place I get DVD's is starting to know me and give me $ discounts for buying so darn many each month) LOL LOL

Again Thank you so much on giving us this wonderful gift to pass on to our sailors.
Just an update -----we did a huge 4th of july party in may & june (to get to them by the 4th of july) the responce was so amazing that we did not use funds from the book for those months. BUT will start again with our next group in July.
Again I cannot thank you enough ---for all you have done.
We have stretched the money out so that we can use the funds to touch as many as possible.
Im not too sure what happened to our March group as I handed it off to someone else to run while I was visiting my Sailor (but from what Mary says no reciept ever came in -so nothing was paid out) Again I thank you from the bottom of Adopt A Sailors moms hearts :)
