Cookbook status

Please note:  In 2012, Linda, this group's creator, did a heroic effort and created a cookbook of our recipes that was sold to members as a fund raiser for Molly's Adopt a Sailor Project.  That cookbook is no longer available.   If anyone would like to volunteer to start another cookbook-publishing project, that would be great!

I would love to pass this on to all of you, although you all mikght already use this LOL. A friend of mine sold me on "better that Boullion". It's a paste that comes in a jar (right next to boullion cubes in the groc). I've used it twice and my oh my what a difference. They make 2 beef ones, a chicken and a veg. So far I've used the beef, itg smells so good I have to force myself not to eat it right out of the jar (that I don't think would taste very good haha)

Abbyblue, I think it depends on what you're making. I usually use just the store brand for most things. If the recipe calls for something special then that's what I use. Everything comes out just fine. Good luck!!

Also, still looking to see who can meet and which days of Navy Week. Don't want to miss any of you or miss giving you a chance to show your Navy Pride and love :)

I have a son in the navy, he and his wife just gave birth to a little girl with 1/2 a heart. She is facing three open heart surgeries in her first two years. It's not a curable problem only correctable for a time. Our family is putting together a recipe book to raise some money to pay non medial expenses When this kind of illness strikes a family it's devastating and the financial aspects debilitating. They are now down to one income with a lot debit (mostly student loans that are not deferrable) We'd love some Navy family recipes to include in our book. Please join our project.

Wendy, I am sorry to hear about your son and the situation he is in right now. Having to get rid of his babies has to be a hard thing. I have a huskie and 5 other dogs. What he might want to do is check with the Huskie club. Someone on there might want them. I really do wish him the best. i will keep him in my prayers. Please keep us up to date.

Wendy, I am so sorry to hear about your son. I am glad that he is doing much better, though know that he will continue to need some help and support. I lost my youngest brother to suicide though he wasn't in the military. We have been talking about this on the Nuke Moms site, after learning two sailors in GC and two in GL took their lives over the past week. It is not easy, but know that others care and support not only him, we support you too!!! Hoping you find good homes for the dogs.
