Cookbook status

Please note:  In 2012, Linda, this group's creator, did a heroic effort and created a cookbook of our recipes that was sold to members as a fund raiser for Molly's Adopt a Sailor Project.  That cookbook is no longer available.   If anyone would like to volunteer to start another cookbook-publishing project, that would be great!

Hi ladies, I saw your message below Marcy so I thought I would give it some time to see if I get any takers on wanting to put together something to share holdiay recipes.  I was trying to put something together to make it easy for everyone but so far with the limitations we have here when it comes to a form or document type attachment we do not have those capabilities. I was hoping to work something up that people could just fill in and send but doesn't seem to be something that can be done. So my thoughts are to set up an account on one of the websites where you can store recipes and then just give out the information to access the site and have everyone just go online and add their recipe and then I would go from there.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated and Paula, is there something you have access to that we do not for posting a form or template to the site??

If we are going to do it we need to get it started and say have the deadline for recipes by the end of this month so people have time to go through and then bake etc. ahead of the holiday weeks.

If you want to now just send me an email with your recipe attached that is fine. My email address is Joyce@bee.net  And once we get something set up we will let you all know ASAP.  Thanks, Joyce

I don't know if it'll be a cookbook per se, but Joyce-Scott'sProudMom is the one who volunteered the holiday-recipe idea and said below "if people would just drop a note so we can see what the interest is that would be great and a big help to me for organizing it" - so send her a note or post a holiday recipe!

I'm all about a Holiday Cook Book so count me in!! I love the other books I have and have found a new favorite cookie recipe from one of them :)

I got involved with the latest book and I was so impressed by it! It's great from the cover all the way through. Soupercook, what sort of cooking do you do for a living? I love watching Chopped and have no idea how the chefs get through those challenges :)

Linda sent a message to all and says, "The holiday recipes sounds great! For any new moms I do have the 2nd and 3rd cookbook left the first one is sold out and I can't get any more. IF you are interested in the other 2 we can sell them for 18.00 each to get them sold! I would love to do another one but, we will need to sell at least 200 or so to be able to do this since I end up having some left over. If anyone has any questions or suggestions please email me @ ldixon64@gmail.com. Hugs to all!"

Joyce, I just sent an email to Linda to see if we can be enabled to send a message to all the members of the group :)

Gpood morning, Marcy, love your heart of pumpkins!  If we do want to put together some holiday recipes we need to start now.  Again I would be happy to organize it if people are interested.  Let me think on what might work best and I will get back to the group sometime today or no later than tomorrow.  Meanwhile if people would just drop a note so we can see what the interest is that would be great and a big help to me for organizing it.  Thanks, have a great day!
