Yes Lisa the PIR is one of my most memorable experiences.
I haven't commented in a while, I follow all the comments. Welcome Lisa, we all know how proud you are this year. Did you get to go to PIR?
Oh Janie You are going to love your trip. We got to Rota but in 2005 to visit our son. Steven would go back there in a heart beat if he could. In fact thats where he met his now wife was in Rota. She was there on an exchange progran from the Un of Ga. and they met at a club and now are married and have a beautiful 3 year old daughter. Have a wonderful trip. LOng flight but well worth it.
Karen P. I'm in the Florida Keys. OUr Stephen is in Rota. We are leaving early
October for a visit. You are a true Navy Mom
Thanks Karen P , that is awesome and motivating!!
ya janieflorida who would have thought that a 4 year signup would turn into a life long career. It has been a good life for him and he has had many adventures. I have even gotten to Rota Spain when he was stationed there and Italy when he was stationed there. In Italy I even got to pin his anchors on when he made Chief. I have to say that , that was my proudest monent ever of being a mom. How long has your son been in? Where in Fl r u? Citrus county here.
Karen P that is awesome. 19 years
Hang in there oneproudmomma, he left a boy but will come back a man you can be very proud of. I dropped my son off 19 years ago today and he is now 1 year from retirement and I couldn't be more proud of the man, husband, father and Chief he is today.
