OK Ann Marie!  I will get on the two Florida Navy Mom facebook pages I joined the other day and advertise a date, place and time to see if anymore Moms in our area would like to join.

What date, place and time do you suggest?  I have only been here six weeks.

Maybe a Sunday evening?

Ann Marie ~ I am in Stuart, opposite coast, but I think there is a group of moms near you that meet. LaLa ( ribbon lady visits your area in the summer, she was there earlier in the summer and plans a get together when she is there). I lived in Tampa in the early 80's very nice over there!

Zachsmom94 ~ welcome to Florida!

Does anyone know of or partake in meet ups or get togethers in Cape Coral? I would love to meet other moms who are going through the same situation. I also just moved to this state and do not know anyone, which makes this transition even more difficult. My SR graduates 9/6.

Actually, my son is headed to his boat (that is what they call submarines) - he is a Missile Technician on a submarine.  His boat is currently in dry dock in Norfolk and (USS Maryland SSBN 738).

We do love Clearwater.  Most all of our family has been down here for quite sometime, we are just following their lead!

Clearwater ia a beautiful area.  Don't forget sailors sail on ships and the ships are always referred to in the feminine gender.

I'm in Clearwater.  We just moved here a couple of months ago.  My son just finished his schooling and is headed to his boat.  He has been in since May 2012.  His older brother is in the Marine Corp, he left Sept 2012.  Our house emptied very quickly and we found ourselves ready for retirement.  So we moved to Clearwater.

Florida Mom - Yes, my son is on the USS Boise. I think that the boys are friends. Are you on the SW Forida Facebook group?
