Thank you NavyMom3
yes they will be your sanity and your lifeline. I dont know what I would do without the people I have met on here.
Thanks for the welcome, Paula and NavyMom3. I'm going through the groups now and already finding a wealth of information. I'm sure as his time continues, this will continue to be a great source of support and info for all of us.
Here is a link to the pt standards. It goes by age and male or female. If they can come close to the run time they will get better at BC. But if they can do the run time it would be better for them. They will also teach them to swim if they don't know how but it is also better for them if they know how.
How long is the swim please? Ok another thing, my son is currently in his senior year of high school and is dual enrolled. They will not allow him to DEP in as a homeschooled student. There is NOTHING in the recruiting manual that states anything about that. I have read it. He went to MEPS, passed the physical, signed his contract and then, they said, "oh wait, you're home schooled, you can't swear in." In addition, he was told that any college credits that also go toward dual enrollment high school credits will NOT count toward his college credit total. That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Anyone have any experience with this or know if there's something I can do about it?
Welcome miisuo4life (Lisa). I would make sure your son can do the run and the swim. Most all that have ended with a delayed pir it has been because of one of those. Let us know if you need anything else.
