Just a quick hello.  My son just enlisted DEP with a ship date after he graduates so we have some time before he leaves.  Doing our best, the whole family, to learn all he needs to help him be prepared and successful.  Thrilled to have found this site and this group.   Lisa

Hi Julie FL-Mom – I am in Tampa.  My son has been in for 2 years as a DC on the Stennis, which is currently headed to the Middle East.  This is our second deployment.  Congratulations and good luck to both you and your son.

It's true!  They really know how to handle the crowds!  We drove to PIR and by the time we had gone to Dunkin Donuts at 6:30 and got our coffees - there was no line up of traffic at all and we were parked in covered parking and seated in the hall by 7:30!  They sure know what they are doing!
