My son leaves Aug 13th for bootcamp from Lee County. Is there anyone going to MEPs in Tampa with their recruit?
congratulations LInda well done. Close to home is good. Even with skpe etc.
It is so hard to get in touch with Stephen in Spain
Congrats ProudmomLinda. My oldest picked close to home on his first orders but my middle son picked Japan. Which I knew that is what he wanted. Now the oldest is here in Jacksonville on his 2nd orders and now wants to go to Japan with his brother. Even volunteering to go back to sea duty so he can. Hope he gets it. We will miss him but he will get to see the world.
Proud Mom-Linda - Great news!! Congrats!! I have to admit - I would have picked exotic too but atleast he is close to home - have a wonderful visit with him!!
Good Morning FLorida Moms. I want to brag about my Airman. He graduated "A' school as an honor graduate and got first pick of orders. His options were Hawaii, Japan, Virginia, and Jacksonville. Now if that had been me, I would have picked the most exotic place available; He picks Jacksonville!!!!!! He told me yesterday that he is coming home tomorrow for a two week visit. I am blessed. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Here is the link for a Dep page with a lot of info. Hope it helps.
I would like the link. She is a cross country runner and on the local high school swim team. She and her step father have joined the local gym in order to get her strength up for her pushups and curl ups...he is handling her physical part and I am working on the information she needs to be E2 before going. Its alot to ingest - im glad we have a year to get her ready.
Welcome Lidasmom. We are in the Jacksonville area and I have 2 sailors. 1 stationed NAS JAX and he is AT and 1 in Yokosuka Japan and he is a CT. Since your daughter has quite a while before she leave have her make sure she can do the run before she leaves. The run is what holds some up including my middle son when he was there. If you need the link to how much time she needs to do it in let me know. There is also a DEP page you can join.
Welcome LidasMom, my SR is in boot camp and his PIR (Parade in Review...aka graduation is this Friday!) Start learning all you can on this wonderful site, there are so many people to help you!
Hi - I am in Brooksville. My daughter is DEP and has chosen DC as her rate. She is set to ship out July 9, 2013. Glad to find a "local" group. :)
