Hello! My son left for BC on 3/15/2012 & we are in Vero Beach. Happy to have another group of understanding supporters. I have found, that even though I've not received his form letter yet, I have begun writing him letters anyway. It's therapeutic for me to feel like I'm still sharing my life with him. I have a long way to go to learn all the acronyms (esp. all the schools & jobs) but I'll get there. Thanks!
Hang in there as the time will fly by. Make sure you like the facebook page for the RTC as they post pics each week. Here is the link.

You can gets lots of info on there page. Once you get the form letter save it as it will have your password for your parking pass.
My Husband went to BC on 3/14. My house is so big without him here. I just have to keep remembering he is doing this to better both of our lives. Got his "box" today with his personal belongings.
mdamon70, No, is isn't in BC. He graduated a year ago Feb. Did his A school in P'cola, C school in Oceana (VA Bch), which is his permanent duty station. His squadron is aboard the Enterprise, and they left this past Sunday. It's his first deployment, and the Enterprise's final!
@Tchrmom Lisa... that's great... is your child in BC?
My son left for bootcamp 2-15 from volusia county. Are there anymore moms from volusia county?
mdamon70- I'm in PB County!
@palmbeachnavymom... I'm doing very well especially now that I received the PIR FORM letter... I was starting to freak out a little... thinking something must have gone wrong or maybe he was ill cause of the delay with the letter... I can handle everything else cause I know this is what he really wanted... thank you!!!!
mdamone70-My son graduated boot camp Dec 29. He got leave for 9 days so he came home for New Years eve until Jan 8th. Very nice to have him home.
How are you holding up? I had to close my sons bedroom door for 2 weeks b/c I was such a basket case. I cried alot. It was like I was never going to see him again. Very silly I know but things got sooo much better when he got to sub school. Texting, phone calls and skype. Oh my!
mdamone70 make sure you save that letter as the code for your parking pass will be on it. Enjoy PIR when you go.
