ok ladies another question. I am debating on where to stay. My SR asked for a hotel with a hot tub to relax in on Friday. With that said, I have narrowed it down to three, ( I think) The ramada, the La Quinta, and the Country inn and suites. Any input on which to use or not to use would be good. I have read the reviews and each have thier pros and cons..However, for those that have gone before me, I was wondering if anybody could give opinions and thoughts.
Ok....So has anyone made it to Chicago for graduation as of yet. I am wondering what there is to do for fun. My daughter wants to just chill at the hotel on Friday and probably eat pizza. However she wants to do something fun in Chicago on Saturday. I was wondering if anyone could give us any ideas so we are not wasting what time we do have with her. However, we are from Florida, and outside things to do are out of the question, I can not take the cold. I will bear it as much as I have to because I want to see my duaghter but as a family we do not want to "play" outside. So if anyone could offer some suggestions that would be very helpful Thankyou Holly
Hi. I am new to this group. I am from Lake County. My son is in Groton, CT. for sub school.
Welcome Holly and Happy new year. She can have the towels and the pillow. She will not have much room. She should be able to have those things once she moves over to the school side. They furnish there towels but she may want a couple of her own. They also furnish the pillows but my son said his was small and took 2 back with him when he came for July 4th. Most take there cell and computer back with them. Since she is going to school there she will have to check out right after graduation and check into her new digs before getting to leave I believe. The meet and greet is fun as you get to meet the people you have been talking to on here. You can always bring the stuff you want to and if she can't have it you can take it back with you. Any valuables have to be accounted for. And make sure she keeps her stuff locked. I hope this helped. My son went to Pensacola for school but I am sure it's the same at GL.
Ok Navy moms...I have a question... We are flying up to see our daughter graduate January 13th. She wants us to bring some of her xmas gifts with to open in the hotel room..(She is going to A school across the street right after graduation) therefore she can have stuff in her room. However, I am not sure as to exactly how much stuff I should bring. I dont want to ask her, cuz that will ruin her gifts. But we do have some new towels, and a new memory foam pillow for her. Are these things I bring for her, or have the packers pack when it comes time. What about jewlery and valuables and such? IF anybody could help me out with this small issue..I would be thankful. Thanks Holly. P.S. I cant wait to see her. As well as, Any body who has gone there all ready is the Sarges meet and greet worth it? And please recomend places to eat and see around Gurnee.
