Lizzy after they have completed battle stations. Which should be the week of graduation starting the thursday before. It happens all night long and 2 divisions usually go at the same time. But they won't get to call until the afternoon on the day after. After they have been up for about 36hrs.

Welcome Capricorna, We do have a packing party coming up but not until aug or sept. They have not decided on a exact date yet. Glad your son passed his pfa. Just have battle stations to finish. You are going to enjoy PIR. Let me know if you have any other questions.

My son passed his 2nd PFA.  He said the swim test was easy - I remember him hanging on the side of the pool for dear life as a 5 yr old...  His PIR (if all goes well) is 07/01/2011.  I can't wait to get the "I'm a Sailor" call.

Please let me know if there is anything going on in Florida for Navy Moms.

Lizzy- Since your pir isn't until 7-22 you have a while to find out if they passed everything. If he has not already passed his pt test he gets more chances. The last chance is just before battlestations which is the last test. I think everyone passes it though unless they fall a sleep or totally mess up. Have not heard of anyone not passing it. It's the PT test that gets a few of them. They will get to call home after they get there sailor cap. I would write him and see if he has passed the whole pt and swim tests.

ptelinda-Congrats on PIR last week. You might want to join the group sailors in Pensacola for A school. I think some of them have Air rescue swimmers. And there might even be a page also. Mine is CTM and we are in Middleburg.
