Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hello everyone i am a Palm Beach County Fl. mom and share the same feelings everyone is feeling my son is leaving 01/19/11 but he has to leave a day before to get ready for his New Journey i am happy for him because this is  what he wants but torn apart because he will be leaving sooner that i would have wanted hope to meet more FL. moms

klp- dont forget binoculars or a good zoom lens  its hard to tell them all apart lol- please keep us posted especially about the battlestations so we can pray and light our candles for you

Yes, and I love it. You can go to the beach or the mountains or Catalina Island.  I think Mexico is off limits for sailors, but we used to go to Ensenada for lunch.  You will make lots of good memories.

KLP let us know when he does battle stations and I'll light my blue candle in honor of your night of what will seem equivalent to child birth.      You're going to love San Diego.  My sailor already signed up for 2 more years just for the promise of more training there:)  Poor thing has to spend the winter there;)

d o- it was so hard to be without him for christmas and new years this have been the toughest thing i been through and no i didnt get a call for the holidays but i did get a call yesterday it was 24mins long it felt so good to talk to him he told me he will be staying in GL for A school for 4 weeks and then we will be going to san diego thats his first duty station but i just didnt want to get off the phone with him and ladies i will be going to graduation i been planning this trip since the day he left for BC i already have everything book so 19days to go
