KLP congratulations on having a man with a job in this economy.  Was it tough to get through the holidays with him being up north, or was he allowed to call you on Christmas and New Years?

I have to be honest with you, I am so glad we are done with the BC phase of our lives.  You'll be in my prayers during the next 20 days.  I hope you get to go to PIR, it's an experience none of us will ever forget.

I know you are so right and she is such an independent soul.  Actually I have noticed we talk more when she is not here then when she is.  Its just so hard not to see her again...

d o--You put into words all these crazy emotions I have been having lately.  I am sitting here crying thinking about it....this is what we raise them for, but then it is so hard to let them go...not that we ever really do!  I relate to everything you said. I don't know when I'll see my son again.  If everything goes well for him, it won't be for a long time...I don't know what I'll do when my other 2 leave the nest, too.

Stay busy, work and scrapbook....this is therapy corner for Navy Moms;)  I'm also saying a prayer that all of you will find peace in this wavy sea of emotions that we moms feel as we watch our sailors grow up.  Fair winds this year dear moms....

d o- well plans changed again and she spent new years at home but the last day out saying goodbye to all her friends-  I got time but not as much as I wanted.  I spent all night and today in tears sporadically.  I dont think it gets any easier - We just have to acclimate.  Keeping busy will help so I go back to work tomorrow and then try to stay busy and focused.

Lindalav, are you as sad as I am?  I've lived nearly half a century and never had these feelings to deal with before.  I'm glad they're growing up, I hate they need me less and less.  I'm jealous they have another place to call home, and yet glad they do all at the same time.  I guess it's never easy to say good bye, especially if you don't get your visit out.
