FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thanks Laura. We are always prepared. The yard is blow proof and we live in a solid concrete house. This will just be a little Tropical Storm. Work as usual today. Tourists are still here and the park is open. Stay dry

It's been a year but i paid 128 Miami to O'hare. Sometimes if you fly to MIdway the rates are cheaper. Cheap tickets is a great website. I've found they give you the best info. Also bing is a good site.

springfire on on internet for tickets when time comes. my son grad. labor day weekend and it was 180.00 rt. per ticket. we flew out of ft. lauderdale. your family will really in joy it. try to go for the whole weekend. the sailors are off and you can spend most of it with them.

We flew out of Miami last time. Non stop direct on American. it was the best deal around.

HI Janie! HI Springfire - I'm in palm beach county. Susan, I agree. my son has been in for a year, getting ready to deploy and my daughter left for boot camp this past Monday. You'd think having been thru it once already would help....but it doesnt seem to be. One day at a time......
