OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Ladies, please lets have a get together. Stephen received new orders today, and he will be deployed to Afghanistan in 3 months after Travis AFB. May the Lord protect him and all the sailors and soldiers. The mothers on the other side must be feeling the same thing. War is the pits.

Hello Ladies! I am a Florida Navy Mom transplant. I am originally from Michigan and so is my son, Allen. Just moved down here to Homosassa Springs, FL and was curious about the FL groups. It is nice to know that no matter where I go, there is always a group of Navy moms ready to turn to. I still belong to the Michigan Moms group also, but hopefully can come to get to know you all down here who are closer to where I live now. Thank you for allowing me to be here.

Tina: make sure you join bootcamp moms group. It is a wonderful support. The first 2 or 3 weeks you wouldn't have contact with your recruit. Be strong. The PIR ceremony at the end is awesome.
Punko: My sailor Stephen graduates on Nov. 13, but from MAA school. The first thing Stephen wanted after PIR was a candy bar. Make sure you bring your camera. The ceremony will bring tears to your eyes. Keep the faith.
Ana thought maybe a get together once in awhile would be fun for South Florida moms???

I'm flying in on the 13th of Feb. into the Orlando Airport but I need to get to Pensacola, I was woundering if someone would be willing to give me a ride from the airport to the Pensacola Base and then back from the base to Orlando on the 16th. I'll give gas money.
