Chinadoll19, my son is from Texas, I received his box, but waiting on the letter, its been a long week but finding you guys and these different groups has made things easier and helps me to understand so I am able to be more supportive and a little more knowledgeable about his life as a Sailor..

chinadoll-the letter with her official address and PIR date should be another couple weeks. you can contact her recruiter for an address that some have warned may not be exactly right, but i used that address and started sending letter right away and it worked for her,so good luck. Also check out bootcamp moms and when you get her ship and division number join those groups too-they are wonderful sites for you while your recruit is at BC

Hi ladies, I am happy right now. Got the box from Avia about 30 minutes ago. They send every single thing she bring at BC LOL. So funny even the bra and panty was sent home too. Now I did not get nothing but the paperworks she sign the day she left. With the boarding pass etc. It says on the first page Atlanta Meps Shippers they are 5 pages with this and that she sign.  When do I get the letter with her address so I can mail all my letters to her.

Hi Sailor12 - my daugther went same day yours went. She came from Atlanta, and she said they are five from Georgia. SShe called me 3 times before theyt ook the phone away from her. Then she called again Friday morning about her last doctor. So I gave her the name of the doctor and the practice so as the phone number. She said they need it okay but she sounds very happy so I won't worry at all. Maybe this week or next I should get the box from her. We went to Avia's swear in at Fort Gillem. So far that time we are the only family with her. She is in the first group to swear in. Where is your son came from Atlanta too? - China:-)

My son went in June 27, other moms from another group said they had received theirs and the family went in with my son, I guess it is just me being impatient..but I am a first timer at all this.
