Avia swear in at 9:30 she is the first group but only two of them are going, both navy girls. We are so proud of her and happy that she made it!!! YEAH!!! We did not have any problem finding Forth Gillem; Avia's boyfriend is an Army Reserve so all he did was show his ID plus our ID and we went thru the gate without any problem. Once we get to the building he sign in show his military ID and write down how many guest who is the Recruits and the woman gave us a visitor sticker. Not bad at all, The Major that did the Oath taking come and seat with us at the visitor lounge we don't know that he is the one. After about 5 minutes he disappears, the woman from the front calls us to go to this room. Beautiful they have all the Military flags, the entire military creed. The room looks so nice it's quite the recruits was all line up the way they are train too. We enjoy it. Soon we got there Avia come out and spend some time with us. Then she went to the other room, we got to spend a lot of time with her. Now she said she is on the way to the airport but the flight won’t leave until4:45pm American Airlines. We are all happy she was excited to go so are we. She said keep an eye on her boyfriend hah hah hah. We made it home safe, I made spaghetti with garlic bread, after that we eat the cake Avia made for us before she left yesterday. We all eat in the dining table and talk about the military life. Matthew was on Recon Scout while he was in the Army and my families are retired Navy and I was once a Marine wife for seven years we lived in Iwakuni Japan then California, so everything works out perfect everybody was happy I know we are. Maybe after the boot camp Avia will start talking about the military life. I did not feel sad at all because no need to what Avia is going thru will be good for her, she will have a career she can be proud off, good benefits, college education and traveling around the world. We are proud NAVY family for Avia. She is very happy when we left her and excited for the new adventure in her young life.
Lynette, the day they come to your house and take your boy away I think is the hardest day ever. It gets easier after that. :)
My son will be leaving 9/13 for boot-camp ... He hasn't left yet, and I miss him already!
