Oh, he ships out March 22nd to Great Lakes, ill, for his BC, then he stays there for his A school...he will be in AECF...and THEN, hopefully, he will be stationed in VA, since my 2 younger sons and I live in the foothills of NC...would love to find some "friends" on here to "lean" on, and be able to support each other, hopefully. Thank you for allowing me to be here.
Reeds Mom............Ash leaves the 2nd of April. I know what you mean...hard to hold it together.
I love Facebook, and Im in need of some Navy Mom's support...this sounds like its a great place to have both. I am really trying to hold it together, but its getting so vry hard...in 8 days,my son ships out :'(
My son too. Not able to go due to just sending his twin over to germany with the air force. His wife will be going in my stead!
My daughter and sil MA's!!!
You can carry that training into civilian life
Thank you for the info - In doing a little more checking in to the MA thing - I think he was giving me an "kind of like" description - other posts I see RIC - Recruit In Charge - which sounds like what he is doing - he is the one that gets in trouble if his division messes up! Yikes! But, MA is something that he has expressed interest in! Wonder if he would change jobs in the middle of boot camp?
Happy Friday Moms!!!!
We received our letters yesterday! Sounds like his first chance to send and receive was Sunday - 3/4/12 - he sounded good! He made MA and got a ribbon for swimming! Not completely sure what that means - but PROUD of my SR!!!!! Cannot wait to hear from him again! Requested a calling card - both Dad and I are sending them - also - suggest to all to send return addressed-stamped envelopes to make it easier for them to mail!!!! Good Luck to all - Strength and Endurance to our SR's and us too!!!!
Tammy
I GOT MY LETTER TODAY!!! I am soooo HAPPY, I hope you all receive yours.
Blessings,
Gracie
