tks4, that sounds awesome!!

Navymomx2, bless you! I couldn't imagine all three of mine in the service. I don't need to worry though, my oldest has no desire for military life and my youngest has too many medical issues, they would never take him. I would certainly be proud if they did...but that would be tough as a mom.

I work at a school. Our third graders performed a show yesterday called Ode To America. They sing all the different military songs and when they sing each one the members of that Branch stands at attention. It brings tears to everyones eyes. Having these 9 year olds sing the songs plus seeing who is fighting for our country is priceless.

Wow..possibly three in the Navy? I almost wish my middle son would join, but he is such a free spirit.

Marcy and purplebarbie...I don't know how you handle having 2 in the military. I'm having a hard enough time with 1 in bc :) I spend way too much time on N4M trying to find out what all they are going through and what everything means! Thank you so much for what your sons are doing...

I heard the song God Bless the USA today on my way home from school and cried. I cry every time I hear that song. Some guy on the radio made me cry on my way to school too. They had dads call in and say what they would like for Fathers Day. Most of them where material things but this one guy said his son just left for Airforce bootcamp. He just wanted a phone call. I remember those days so well for both of mine. The letters and all. I kept everyone of them. But he made me think of my sons and I won't be seeing them for a long time but I feel for that guy as well. We all know what he is going thru.

Good luck to you too Marcy, I can't imagine having two out at the same time. We're here for ya :)

@ Gwen, Hollywood is a ways from me, never been there. Where are you now?

Welcome to all the new ones.

Victoria, I know how you feel about 1st deployments. My sailor is going out to sea soon for the first time and my Airman is going to be going to Iraq. I hope your son stays safe and good luck to him too.

Hello everyone, I'm a newbee from New Port Richey, Florida. My Corpsman son is on his 1st deployment in "A". He's been gone since Feb, but we're all coping fairly well.
