Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Oh yeah....you can print almost anything on Zazzle. I won't patronize Cafe Press since they allowed the Battered Women items on there. I asked N4M to remove them from this site in protest, but nothing happened. They are no longer on their site for now.
I did find a couple groups on Facebook who are offering the shirts.
We have a huge all school district consignment sale this week that I chair. I'm going to see how many volunteers I can get to wear red on Friday!! Last year we raised just under $34,000 between our Fall and Spring sales!!! Hooyah!

Sorry they are not from me,,, they are a site that is selling them for "Wear Red On Fridays" campaign,,, we have worn Red on Friday but now there is a shirt for this. I found them on FB and they seem pretty cool! I posted the email site and they are also on FB.. think it is Support Our Troops-Wear Red on Fridays...

Wanda - you are so right!! When Lynch first talked about joining the Navy, it didn't sound like anything too dangerous. Now, I'm finding out the potential is a bit more than I realized.....but it's just that...potential for danger. More than likely he will never face a tough situation. But, I am trusting the Navy to prepare my son with the tools he needs to do his job and to protect himself and his country. And, most any job can be dangerous if you are not prepared properly and don't respect the duty.
mamawalrus - which shirts are you selling? I've seen more than one.
