That's great Beverly, I am sure you have lost even more weight by now. Korey now takes some tablets that helps alot and he can eat regular foods and it doesn't bother him. His immune system may be building up again too, he has had a long road after having Mono. He was one that was never sick and this has really been hard on all of us.
What did the doctor say? Hoping it was good news or at least something that can be treated. Weather is changing, so body is different every day.
I have been doing gluten free for about 3 weeks now and I have loss 10 pounds but I have been exercising also. There r a group of us from church that do a walk/jog dvd twice a week. It has helped me also I just feel alot better. I worked in the flower beds the other day, and most of the time when I do that I am down for several days, but this time I felt great. I really think the gluten was causing a lot of my pain. I went to see a chrioipractor that treats fibro, they did a bunch of x-rays and I go back Tuesday to see what they have to say. You u have a blessed day
Thanks Beverly, all prayers help don't they?
My mom's name was "Beverly" and Diego is really "Kyle." lol
I don't take any "medications" for my Fibro, I do the vitamins and supplements and have for years. I do take a sleep aid, over the counter and it helps keep me asleep for at least five hours at a time.
Our son is GF, he developed a sensitivity after having Mono two years ago. He has been getting better, I think he is finally getting a good immune system back. He has gone a long road on this one. The doctor's didn't want to hear it, so we did things on our own and they worked. Glad the GF diet is helping you. Dr. Oz had his show about this yesterday and how you can actually gain weight while on it.
eb, Wow, that is a mighty long drive for you, but the trip to witness PIR will be well worth it. It is an awesome experience to say the least. Our son PIR'd on 12 November and is now in S.C. for Nuke. He will graduate A school on 03 June and we won't be able to be there at that time. Our other K's, Korey and Kacy will still in school. They have had many "snow" days so they will have to make some days up. I am married to an "only" child and his mom lives in Idaho. We don't see her, hubby flew out in August for a cousin's wedding and she wasn't able to fly home for Diego and Kelsey's wedding in December. She has a variety of illnesses too, Fibro, Lupus and other things. She is very sickly and in bed much of her time. She has two sisters and nieces and nephews there near her. I hear you on one day at a time or one hour. I do that on my tougher days too. I too, have an awesome understanding husband. He is truly a gem!!
Keeping you and son in prayers. It is quite a journey, roller coaster to be honest. Hoping he writes and calls when he can. Gentle ((((hugs))))))
Sharon, Thank you for the warm welcome. Yes, God blessed me with the entire package of medical issues. I just take one day, sometimes one hour at a time. I am very lucky to have a husband that has taken the time to understand my issues and who is very helpful.
My son is currently in bootcamp. is PIR date is 5/6. We will be driving to PIR from Washington State via Omaha, NE to pick grandma up. This is not the best form of transportation for me, but I refuse to miss my only child's graduation. His A school is in California, so at least we will all be on the west coast!
Thanks again, and I'll check in again soon!

I'm so glad I found this group. I also have fibromyalgia, rheum, and osteo arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, connective tissue disease...the list goes on. I find it almost embarassing to try and explain to people why I don't have a job outside the home etc.
I am very careful about who I tell and what I tell them. I'm sure many of you are the same way. I was diagnoised in 1993 and have a wonderful Dr.
Just wanted to pop in and say hi. Thanks to whomever started this group! :)
