This is for anyone who can teach in Texas public schools next school year.

This is a program for the Service members called Troops for Teachers.

They need to talk with their college advisors about this program.

I have met a wonderful man who was in the Army Band for 20 years  and now teaches  5th grade in Arlington , Tx  and he went through the program of Troops for Teachers.

Lamar: where in Texas?  My husband is potentially relocating to the Austin area and I'm anticipating needing to look for a spot there.  Looks there are some ISDs with hiring freezes due to budgets (totally understand THAT as we face a similar situation in Central FL).

Good morning all.  I too am a teacher in Texas and I am excited about joining this group.  Looking forward to spring break next week. Only six more weeks till graduation.

That is a shame - and not fair!  I was thinking about you and all the snow this morning when I was having to mow my yard!  I use a snow shovel my dad left on one of his moves south as a dustpan when I raked the leaves!

Wonder why didn't have to make up missed days because of hurricane damage?  We missed at least two weeks  - in 2005 and again in 2009.
