Hi to my fellow nurses.  I have been it the OR for 25 years, RN for 28.  My son just joined as an ET in Mar '11.  He seems happy, I was Army, so this is different, esp since I'm now the Mom!

Hello to all the "nurses" Navy moms... I am also a nurse in the ED, currently working towards a masters in informatics.

Hello everyone.  My son PIR was 10/14.  Just thought I would join this group, just because.  I am MICU nurse.

Hi everyone.  I am a full time school nurse and per diem NICU nurse.  My son's PIR is 9/16.  He will have hernia surgery soon after before going to A school.  As a nurse and Mom I am having a fit since I can't be there and haven't been able to talk to the doctor.  John is only 18, so I am still getting used to the idea that he is an adult.

The sad thing is he may not get to PIR because he has such a short time left for actual boot camp that they may not reassign him to a DIV He will just finish up the 4 days and then got on to A school. Which stinks. But he said he may get 2-3 days of liberty if that happens so I can go spend some time with him.

So sorry, Donna. I wish him a speedy, successful recovery.
