Hi everyone, I'm Faith. My son just left 2/16 for bc, just got the box today. I've been a nurse since 1984. I was an OR nurse until I went to Anesthesia school, grad in 2000. Love the OR, but agree about the heavy lifting.

Hi everyone! It has been a while since I've been on this site, but it isn't because of a lack of interest. It has just been very crazy at my house. Matthew (our sailor) was in a bad car accident about 12 days ago. Ended up w/a moderate concussion & lots of bumps & bruises. Also totaled the car which they just got. It could have been a lot worse so we are thankful it was only the car that was lost. Andrew (our youngest) had a seizure - his first. Never had one before & none since, but we have had to see a number of doctors & he has had CATs, MRIs, and 2 EEGs. No real answers though. He is on meds, but he can't drive for 6 months. Last week he was fired from his job - he drove & made deliveries, which he can't do right now. They said they couldn't afford to keep him? Weird because he wasn't getting many hours, only between 6-8 a week working inside. I didn't think they could fire someone who has a disability? Anyone know if there is a way around this?

Hi Everyone, Well my son just left a few days ago and I cant stop thinking about him. I keep telling myself that he has been away from home before so why is this any diffeent. I guess it's the unknown for me anyway and it sounds like a lot of the mothers here. Thats why I'm so thankful of this site. I'm just finishing up any last laundry that he had and kinda packing it up since he wont be home for a while. Thats tough. I went food shopping, again tough. I hope the eight weeks goes by quickly just so I will be able to talk to him maybe a little more frequently than never but for now I'm just hoping for the two week call. A friend of mine was cheering me up and sent me this link all I could do was lol take a look http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTwq1_9VH68
