I am an ER/Trauma Nurse at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX.  I was a stay-at-home mom until nursing school - figured if I could be a mom I could be a ER nurse. LOL!!! I have been a nurse for almost 8 years now.  Earned my BSN in Dec. while my son was away in boot camp.  Been married 24 years and have three wonderful kids.  My Sailor is our oldest.

Hi all, just joined! I am a Nurse Educator at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. My son is half way through boot camp. I hope he makes it through boot camp! Just worried since he is not athletic! He always wanted to join the navy then teach history down the road.

Hi there, I am Kristie and I am a Wound Care Nurse and Clinical Educator. :) My 20 year old son heads to boot camp on March 4, 2015. I live in Orange County, California (southern California) and am originally from Kansas -- came to Cali when I turned 20.

Hello fellow nurses! I have been a nurse for 25 years. I am currently the clinic nurse for 3 Cardiothoracic Surgeons at Methodist Hospital in the Minneapolis area.I am sending my son off to basic on Feb.18th. I am so excited for him and know this is the best for him. What can you tell me about the Seaman PACT program. I am a little concerned that he made the wrong choice. Any thoughts?

Hi everyone!  I am an RN with 22 years of experience.  I've worked at the same hospital here in Maryland for the whole time.  I work as a night charge nurse on an oncology/medsurg unit.  My son just had PIR on 10/31, which was awesome and it was great seeing him!  He is currently at A school in Pensacola for ABF.
