Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi Kajam, my son is at BC now and wants to follow the same path as your son. He will be going to San Antonio, TX for A School. How long is that school? How long is C School with the Marines? I also want to know the ed. benefits, but my son is in the Reserves. Any info. you learn please share! Thanks, Tammy

My son started BC July 17 th, he gets out of marine training march 22. So a total of 8 months

Kajmam- my bf has been in the same time as your son from BC through FMTB now. They know each other & have been talking to each other about what their plans are. I'm wondering the same thing you are & I'm trying to find out more info.
Does anyone know of links for resources or who I might contact to obtain more info on tuition pays etc. Thank you -

HI Kajam, my son finally graduated PIR on 3/22 and arrived Saturday in Texas. Now A School begins. Any advice you can provide would be great! Did you buy your sailor anything special to study or help with the academics? Congrats to your son. Thanks, Tammy
