Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Just married & hubby is leaving sooner than we thought!
Hello ladies! My hubby leaves for RTC 20120424 and I am getting a complete mix of emotions with each week that passes. I am going to stay here (Oklahoma) and finish my CNA certification until after his A school and will be leaving with him to his new duty station when we find out in September. I am beginning to panic a little. We both were born and raised in this town and neither of us have lived away from family/friends for long at a time. Any advice? Anyone else have a SR shipping around the same time? I will be going to PIR by myself and would love to make a few friends who can relate! Thanks :)

Oh yes. I am having many emotions myself. My husband leaves in May for boot. I am nervous, excited and worried. I don't have much advice. But you aren't alone :) My son and I have to stay behind until he gets his first duty station as well.

I like you will not be joining my husband at least until after A school, so it's good to hear from another wife who isn't (it was kinda starting to make me feel bad, like I was a bad spouse for not picking up and leaving our life here behind the second he became available). My husband is currently in Week 3 of boot camp so I'm a little ahead of you unfortunately, but it's nice meeting you and talking with you regardless :)

I am sooo relieved to find this group!! I am new to N4M and until I ran across this groupo I wasnt relating to anything the "mom's" are going through, nor do we have the same questions/concerns. My husband and I have been married 9 years, he is 32, a canadian citizen and just joined the Navy (he was born in Vietnam and adopted in Canada, so needless to say, NOTHING about our situation was "typical"); he left for BC on March 7th, Hospital Corpsman so A-school in San Antonio; we currently live in Colorado and like you, it doesnt make sense to leave my job until he is at least done with A-School; All I have received thus far is "the box"; still waiting on the form letter and letters from him!
