Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

My finished A Sch this past Wed. For those who wanted to know about the pinning ceremony its a very fast ceremony. It took about 30 minutes. During the ceremony you can take pictures and after. The Sailors will walk to the person who they choose to pin their badge. It can be up to three people. Afterwards, they march back to their barracks to get their belongings if they have their flight tickets and paperwork. They get their room inspected and they are free to go home with you.

My daughter had her PIR on 9/22 and arrived for MA A-school on 9/23. She said her graduation date is 11/22. I'm looking forward to learning more about this part of her journey and couldn't be more proud of her!

Kim, I agree. He said there was only 1 class graduating in the 7th. I put in a friend request so we can exchange names and tell the kids.

He started some stuff last week, but he was in holding yesterday. So today was starting the big stuff.

Prattlebrat, does your son start A-school today? Our daughter was telling me that she will graduate November 7 too. I'm just waiting on some kind of confirmation from her.

Kim, my son is there now. He's been there for about 2 weeks and should graduate the 7th of November. Unless he chooses to delay a week as they are asking some to volunteer to do.
I did the same with my son. We took his phone to him while at the airport. It was a sleepless night.

Great information! Thank you. My daughter did say she will graduate on a Tuesday, but I thought all graduations were on Fridays. That's okay with me, I would like to be there if I can make it happen. Not happy about flying all by myself.
Prattlebrat - Is your son currently in MAA A-school? My daughter does have her phone. We took it to her while she was at the airport after boot camp.

Also he graduated thursday and flew home early on friday (but didnt tell us cuz he surprised us friday afternoon)
