spomoss I hear you on the moming. :) Mine always travels to Maryland to see some friends and another day trip here in NY to see another, but there are never enough days :) How about a casual open house after noon or day where others can just drop in at times convenient for them? Guess we can be grateful our sailors don't have spouse and family in other states. I read post of mom's that have to share this time which already seems so short. Merry Christmas to you and your sailor. Hoping to Skype with mine on Christmas Eve, it will be the first time to see his face since last Christmas and a year in the life of a 3 yr. old neice is hugh.
Check community centers. A lot of times their spaces are fairly inexpensive and they sometimes have kitchens too.
thanks DivontesMom-thought about doing something like that...my house is not big enough so I may check around town...
spomms - why not have a little get together so everyone can come to him. That way he can visit with everyone at his leisure and he doesn't have to run all over trying to fit everyone in? It will be more relaxing for him. Then he can go visit those who couldn't make it or wants to spend more time with.
what a muddy day...
thanks Patty-mine is a little overwhelmed with trying to see everyone...he did spend yesterday with me so that was great! need to work on not 'mom-ing' him...any advice??
Yes we did get more snow.
I am happy for all of you, having your Sailors home!!!
Mine just texted "at the gate waiting for my plane... I'm coming Home!"
For 24 years, when all family members are home in their beds at night, I have been able to say, "and all is right with the world." I will be able to do that once again tonight. Life is good and we are very blessed. So glad the weather in Western New York is better (supposed to be 43o today) so now snow closings. Merry Christmas and happy hugging to all those having their sailors home for the holidays. Double hugs to those who will not be able to have them home.
