Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

what a Blue Star Moms group...was looking for one of those...how fun-I have to work :( otherwise I would be there!!  Go Navy!

have been spared big snow so far-been to windy for it to drop on me here in Oswego....10 miles down the road though there is 3 feet of it...

For anyone near Rochester, tomorrow the Rochester Blue Star Moms Group is having a fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings in Henrietta beginning at 2 pm. Come watch the Army vs Navy game, have good food, raffles, etc. Let me know if you are interested and I'll send all of the details to you!

I'm actually right by Lake Ontario in WNY, outside of Rochester. 15 miles down the road they got 6 inches, and we got 1.

That's a bummer but sounds like a good excuse 4 a weekend trip 2 snow country 2 me!! We r in the fingerlakes region and usually get plenty!! Where r u?

Dog sledding is sooo much fun! I agree. I used to HATE winter. Now I look forward to it and do the snow dance. :-) Unfortunately, I'm in the belt that doesn't get much snow.

lol spomss!  You'll have to train her to pull you & put on some of those short skis. Learn to ride the slide!
